DYKE HARD by Britte Andersson @ CineStar Andel, Prague, CZ
Dyke Hard (Sweden). Screening as part of the 23rd Febiofest Prague International Film Festival on 25/03/2016, 22:30.

Slightly ashamed about the amount of free tickets I had left unusued in the previous two days (and obviously, having mentioned it so many times, I still am) I told myself that after meeting one of my actors to go over the script with him, I would make myself go to the very last screening of the final day of CineStar. And, fairplay to me, I did.
Now, the film happened to be titled Dyke Hard, but I knew not what it was about. Certainly wouldn't have been the first serious movie with a pun around the word "dyke" in its title I would have seen. Nevertheless, I must say, I childishly blushed when I asked for the ticket. And the girl at the counter had a giggle when she saw the title. Ok, so in the end, it was exactly the type of film with this type of title. Purposefully bad, tribute to B or even Z movies, as sexually charged as downright disgusting, that made use of anything you can imagine a film of this kind to. Even the dubbed language. And of course, the Rocky Horror Picture Show musical numbers. Only the songs were so bad and lengthy that I contemplated leaving several times. To be fair, I was fully willing to go along with the film's vibes, but I was also thinking to myself that I might like the first half hour, and then be absolutely exhausted for the remaining full hour's length. And that is exactly what happened.
There were a few people who were openly vocally interacting with the film, much like a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening (last time I mention this film in the entry of this screening). But despite being more drunk or high than me, well, I had only had a bottle of beer that kinda went right up to my head actually, they too were progressively exhausted, and the film faded into oblivion, with many leaving the screening early to make that last tram home before having to wait for the night line.
