'Grand Piano' announced as closing film of the 31st Turin Film Festival

Grand Piano Still - H 2013Classical music thriller Grand Piano by Eugenio Mira was chosen as this year's closing film of the Turin Film Festival. The film stars Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings, Green Street Hooligans) and John Cusack (Being John Malkovich, High Fidelity).

 

The film is centred around a mysterious note that a concert pianist notices written on his music sheet moments before his comeback performance. The film was presented at the 57th BFI London Film Festival and described as 'the best film Brian De Palma never directed'.

 

Jon Turtletaub's film Last Vegas had already been announced as the opening film of the 31st edition of the Torino Film Festival. More information on the festival's lineup will be unveiled at the press conference from the Rome Film Festival the 5th of November.
