8/8/2014 - Seven projects picked for the 7th Work in Progress sessions at the 20th Sarajevo Film Festival

The Sarajevo Film Festival has announced its selection of the seven projects handpicked for the 7th edition of the CineLink Work in Progress sessions. Cinelink takes place during the Sarayevo Film Festival from the 20th to the 23rd of August, and it is a development and financing platform for around 30 carefully selected regional feature length films open for European co-production.



CineLink's Work in Progress sessions, that will take place on the 20th and the 21st of August, will present films currently in post-production to specially invited decision makers from the European film industry, interested in engaging in their completion or distribution. Some of the most illustrious names that were selected for the previous editons of CineLink's Work in Progress have included 2013 Silver Bear winner Harmony Lessons by Emir Baigazin and White Shadow by Noaz Deshe, winner of the Lion of the Future at the 2014 Venice Film Festival and recent winning film at the T-Mobile New Horizons Film Festival in Wroclaw.

Here are the seven films that have been selected for this year's sessions:

- OUR EVERYDAY LIFE by Ines Tanovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia)
- FALSE WITNESS by Iglika Triffonova (Bulgaria, Netherlands, Sweden)
- MOUNTAIN by Yaelle Kayam (Israel, Denmark)
- THE WOUNDED ANGEL by Emir Baigazin (Kazakhstan, France, Germany)
- WHY ME? by Tudor Giurgiu (Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria)
- MOTHER by Vlado Skafar (Slovenia,Italy)
- THE OTHER SIDE OF EVERYTHING by Mila Turajlic (Serbia) - documentary

Three additional projects have also been picked as guest projects for its co-production market:

- HOUSE WITHOUT ROOF by Soleen Yusef (Kurdistan Regional Government Iraq, Germany)
- OPERATION: BABY by José Luis Valle (Mexico)
- TO ALL NAKED MEN by Bassam Chekhes (Syria, Netherlands)

Two significant awards will be banded out: The Post Republic Award (post production services worth 80,000 euro) and The Restart Award (worth 20,000 euro).
