8/4/2015 - IDFA Bertha Fund announces its final February 2015 selections

The IDFA Bertha Fund - the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam's scheme that supports documentary filmmakers and festivals in developing countries - has concluded its February 2015 selection run, and has picked 11 project for its Classic scheme and 6 projects for its new European category.
For its IFB Classic selection round, the Fund considered 265 projects from more than 65 different developing countries. In total, it granted 126,500 euro to the 11 chosen projects. The committee selected five projects for script development and project development and six projects for production and post-production.
For the newly set up IFB Europe round, 24 projects from 8 different countries recognised by the MEDIA sub-program - and all projects had to be co-productions between a European and non-European producer as well as a director from a developing country. In total, 240,000 euro were granted to the six projects that were picked from it.
