Jennifer Kent's "The Badabook" to have its UK premiere at London's FrightFest on the 23rd of August

Icon Film Distribution will release the acclaimed hit horror The Badabook in UK and Irish cinemas on the 24th of October.

The film is about a woman, recovering after the violent death of her husband and struggling to discipline her out of control 6 year old son - who in the meanwhile is plagued by dreams of a monster that will kill them both.

The film is written and directed by Jennifer Kent. The Badabook had its premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film festival and will be having its UK premiere at Film4 FrightFest on the 23rd August at Vue West End in London's leicester Square.
