22/10/2014 - "Spaghetti Story" by Ciro de Caro to inaugurate CinemaItaliaUK

This Sunday's screening of comedy Spaghetti Story by Ciro de Caro will inaugurate the first season of CinemaItaliaUK - a project which aims to promote new Italian cinema through a series of screenings of subtitled modern Italian films that have yet to be released to a wider British audience. The screening will be taking place on the 26th of October at 18.30 at London's Genesis Cinema.
Spaghetti Story is a coming of age comedy drama that talks about today's Italian young adults that are constantly frustrated by the drag of modern society. The screening will be followed by a Q and A session with filmmaker Ciro de Caro - who shot this film with a super tight budget and in 11 days. The Q and A session will be hosted by actress Monica Nappo.

The other films that will be screened as part of CinemaItaliaUK will be I Quit Whenever I Want (Smetto Quando Voglio) by Sydney Sibila on the 30th of November and Song 'e Napule by the Manetti Bros., on the 14th of Decembers. All the screenings will be taking place in the London Genesis Cinema, will be followed by Q and A sessions and all three films will be subtitled.
