"Bank Alarm was the last in the Conrad Nagel and Eleanor Hunt serials where they played a pair of federal agents. Today, they are mostly forgotten, and that is because most of their films together were pretty forgettible, however popular they were at the time. 

In Bank Alarm, the pair is on the trail of a gang of robbers. But as many of the kind, this film shows little to distinguish itself from other formulaic matinee crime thrillers of the time, and the only redeeming factor comes from the performances of Nagel and Hunt themselves, who work quite well together."
