"An everyman named Bruce gets a chance to literally play God, after the Lord himself allows him to step in his shoes for a limited amount of time. But he soon realises that with great power come great pressures and responsibilities. 

JIM CARREY is always fun to watch, and here he is as eccentric and lively as every. The premise is halfay between nonsensical and ingenious, and when it stays focus, it actually shows some creative energy. 

Nevertheless, towards its halfway mark, it falls for an unlikely identity as a romantic comedy that is disappointingly flat and autopiloted. In the end BRUCE ALMIGHTY is simply another structured comedy that, despite its best gags, falls short of its expectations."
