"A mean spirited millionaire and a working class family man find themselves sharing a hospital room with a deadly disease. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they decide to draw up a list of things they have never done, and that they would like to do before their time comes. 

ROB REINER's THE BUCKET LIST benefits from the novelty of starring the two revered actors JACK NICHOLSON and MORGAN FREEMAN in the leading roles. And to their credit, they look like they're having fun. Furthermore, the idea, in its own right, is fresh and entertaining, with the director himself able to permeating his own brand of sensibility to it, particularly when dealing with the theme of two men coming face to face with mortality and dealing with them in their own way. 

Nevertheless, this is a film that ultimately seems to rest on its laurels by playing it safe and ending up being too structured, sometimes even to the point of downright dullness."
