Starring - Bill Murray

"A weatherman finds himself living the same day over and over again. There was a time when a little more thought was put into mainstream American produced comedies. Groundhog Day is certainly one of the genre’s best examples, and one of the most representational of the style of its time. The plot is simple yet very unique and effective in recreating a sweet atmosphere in the romantic side of the story between Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell, but also leads to some very dark comedy moments, like the sequence where Murray keeps finding ways to kill himself. Murray himself is great in underplaying the lead character with his usual brand of acting. The screenplay is exciting and constantly finds new ways to be entertaining rather than boring, which is a welcome paradox considering the it is based on the concept of repetition."
