"Arguably the most impressive addition to the dark comedy horror trend of recent Czech cinema, inspired by its beautiful and mysterious countryside. ANDY FEHU's THE GREEDY TIFFANY also feels like a modern Aesop tale that examines its titular vice of greed. But on top of this, its satirical representation of economic struggles and couch potatoes are surprisingly clever and add a meaningful backbone to what is primarily supposed to be an entertaining flick.
Here, we follow one such character, a lazy and simple minded rube who stumbles upon footage that reveals a hidden treasure in the woods. Despite the same footage revealing its deadly paranormal dangers, he decides to chance it anyways.
The mixture of laughs and creeps is incredibly well balanced, and its overall inventiveness in its most inspiring moments recalls the classics of SAM RAIMI.
To complete the picture, THE GREEDY TIFFANY benefits from the top notch imposing presence of its leading actor LEOS NOHA in his "Dude" Lebowski with added selfishness turn - an engrossing embodiment of an obnoxious antihero."
