This film is based on the true story of Chris McCandless life. The visuals and technical side of the film is beautiful, with its breathtaking scenery camera work, but the film fails to be challenging through this story of a young man’s anger and disenchantment towards society by adapting to more conventional and less interesting vignettes and themes. Another fear regarding the film is that it may leave its escapist audience ambiguous about just how dark the film really is or should have been."
