"After his girlfriend backs out, Steve Coogan decides to take his friend and source of eternal aggravation Rob Brydon on a trip for The Observer to tour the finest restaurants of the UK. Winterbottom's film is an intimate and original portrayal masculine childishness and the delicate verge of mid life crises which remains true to its theme by maintaining a certain level of honesty in its naturally flowing storyline and structure. However, the film's strongest asset is the wonderful chemistry between the two leads Coogan and Brydon, who make a wide use of improvisation and share great moments of comedy which nevertheless conceal a tinge of melancholia and fragility."
